Short Biography

Jakob Hummes received his diploma in computer science from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1996. While studying he was involved in the development of the Multi-Media Collaboration (MMC) project of BERKOM.
Jakob Hummes joined the Department of Multimedia at EURECOM in March 1996 to become a doctoral student. Here, he works in the project ACOST, which is funded by CNET of France Telecom. His special interests are CSCW and teleteaching. He is currently working on the development of object components for CSCW. He is also investigating the possibilities of the Web as a common user interface for CSCW.
